American Textile History Museum Reduces General Admission Price During Exhibition Construction

LOWELL, (December 22, 2006) – As a courtesy to visitors, the American Textile History Museum will cut admission fees in half during the redesign and renovation of its Textiles in America (TIA) core exhibition. The reduced fees will go into effect on January 4, 2007. General admission will be $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and children 6-16, free for members  and children under 6. Group tour, school, and scout program fees are unchanged.

“We are in the initial phase of redesigning our core exhibition, Textiles in America, to tell a more complete story of the art, science and history of textiles, including the latest high-tech innovations in the space, sports, medical, military, and design industries,” said Museum President and CEO James S. Coleman. “We are reducing our admission fees as a thank you to the public for their patience during construction.” 

Museum hours are Thursday and Friday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.. The Museum is closed on holidays.

The Museum is located at 491 Dutton Street in Lowell, adjacent to the Lowell National Historical Park, 35 miles north of Boston off Route I-495. The building is wheelchair accessible, and parking is free. Telephone 978-441-0400.
