American Textile History Museum Presents You've Got The Look! Third Thursdays Dinner and a Movie Series

LOWELL, Mass. - Delicious dining and an award-winning film classic create a memorable evening for American Textile History Museum visitors on the third Thursday of each month from January through May, 2003 when the Museum presents its You've Got the Look! dinner and a movie series.

Movies have been selected for their outstanding cinematography, stunning settings, and unforgettable costumes. A Museum speaker introduces each film, and a quiz prize award completes the evening.

The package includes Museum admission, $10.00 coupon for dinner in the Gazebo Café and film in the newly remodeled Stevens Court. Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. and the film at 7 p.m. Price is $12 for members and seniors; $15 for nonmembers. Price for film only is $5. Advance reservations are required. Call 978.441.0400 x244.

Thursday, January 16 - Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961). The film series kicks off with the romantic comedy that popularized the Little Black Dress and Audrey Hepburn's timeless, understated elegance.

February 20 - The King of Hearts (1999). Light drama about needy children and how clothing reveals status. Set in modern-day Iran; in English.

March 2 - The Secret Garden (1993).Female cast, director and author make this version of classic child's story an outstanding Women's History Month selection featuring mesmerizing cinematography and Maggie Smith.

April 17 - Some Like It Hot (1959). Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon are sensational in this legendary comedy with Oscar-winning costumes by Orry-Kelly.

May 15 - Rear Window (1954). Jimmy Stewart, Grace Kelly and Thelma Ritter make a wonderful trio in one of Alfred Hitchcock's most stylish thrillers.

The American Textile History Museum, located at 491 Dutton Street, tells America's story through the art, science, and history of our textiles. Features include the core Textiles in America exhibition, children's Textile Learning Center (TLC), and Special Exhibition Gallery. Free parking. Wheelchair accessible.
